If you've ever looked in the mirror after spending ages on your curls and thought, "Why is my hair still frizzy?", you're not alone. Here's the good news: frizz isn't something you have to fight. Most of the time, it's simply your curls asking for a little more moisture, a little more protection, or a slightly different routine. At CGMC®, we don't believe in chasing perfect hair. Mistake #1: Using Too Little Styling Product One of the biggest myths in curl care is that less product equals better curls. You want to check if your hair is drying, move it out of your face, or scrunch it every few minutes. But every time you touch wet curls, you disturb the curl clumps that are trying to set. The result? More flyaways. More frizz. Less definition. Once you've finished styling, let your curls dry completely before fluffing, scrunching, or separating them. It's one of the easiest ways to improve definition. Mistake #3: Skipping Leave-In Conditioner Think of leave-in conditioner as your curls' daily drink of water. Curly and wavy hair naturally struggles to stay hydrated because natural oils don't travel easily down the hair strand. That's why adding moisture after cleansing is such an important step. Cotton pillowcases create friction while you move during the night, which can flatten curl clumps, create tangles, and leave you reaching for the refresh bottle first thing in the morning. Protect your curls by pineappling your hair with a satin sleep cap or sleeping on a satin pillowcase. Your future self will thank you.  Small Habits. Big Difference. Frizz usually isn't a sign that your hair is "bad." It's often just a sign that your routine needs a few small tweaks. By giving your curls enough moisture, leaving them alone while they dry, using a microfiber towel, and protecting them overnight, you'll create the kind of consistent results that last beyond wash day.
