Protein = always good Too much protein makes curls stiff, straw-like, and fragile. Our cycle uses it only when needed, based on visible signs.
Oil = hydration Oil repels water. Coconut oil in particular can cause dryness, buildup, and stiff waves. That’s why it’s on our No List.
Clarify every week Most people over-wash. Our Step 0 Detox is every 4–6 washdays or as often as you need.  You'll know if you've used it too regularly as you'll see more dryness and frizz if you do, so you just reduce the frequency, easy.
Your waves + curls aren’t working? Buy more products. No — learn your hair cycle. We teach you the when, why, and how in our CGM Club® tutorials.
Sulfate-free shampoo is enough Not really. It’s about what you leave out and what you put in. That’s why CGMC® products rinse clean, no harsh lather needed.
Frizz is bad Some frizz is normal — it’s texture and volume. What we don’t want is frizz from dryness or product overload. Step 4 + 6 sorts that.

You need to know your curl pattern (2A/3B etc) It’s cute, but what matters more is your porosity, density + goals — and we’ll guide you through that inside the Club.
You need to wash more when it feels greasy It's likely that you may have used silicones and then not removed them prior to using a co wash - that'll get you all in a twist.  Just start again with step 0 whoops to remove them, then only put in your hair what can be rinsed clean.
