What is Whoops and why do I need it?

Whoops is a pre-wash product designed to remove silicone, wax, and product build-up from your curls before starting your Curly Girl Method Club routine. This is crucial because silicone-coated hair won’t absorb moisture properly, causing dryness and frizz. Whoops clears away these barriers, allowing your curls to fully absorb the nutrients and hydration in the rest of the CGMC™️ products.

Will Whoops strip my hair or cause dryness?
Whoops is designed to be as gentle as possible while removing silicone and wax build-up. It’s formulated with mild cleansers like Decyl Glucoside and Cocamidopropyl Betaine, along with a sulfate (the only one in our range) to help wash away residue without irritating or drying out your hair. It’s not meant to strip your hair, but rather to prepare it for the full benefits of the CGMC™️ system. However, it's best not to use it immediately after coloring your hair.

How often should I use it?
You only need to use Whoops once, right at the start of your curly girl journey. The small bottle is enough for three uses. Keep the rest for later, just in case you encounter any silicones and need to remove them to continue your journey. Since everything in our store is silicone-free, you won’t need to use strong cleansers like this again.
